Embark on your journey to becoming a competent powerboat driver with our RYA Powerboat Level 2 course. Situated near the iconic Tower Bridge along the picturesque River Thames in London. Our program provides the skills and background knowledge essential for safe powerboat handling. Delve into low-speed close quarters manoeuvring, man overboard recovery, and an introduction to driving at planing speed. Our course conducted in our comfortable XS650 Rib, ‘Raptor’ ensures a comprehensive learning experience tailored to your needs.
As a total beginner, new to the area of sailing anywhere it was certainly a challenge that I didnt believe i could accomplish. Ash was such a confidence boost with an excellent way of teaching in the classroom and practically on the Thames. It's certainly a different view from the river. The best thing is after 2 days, I passed!!! And I still remember the terminology....ebb and flood...concept of mooring etc....Thank you for the experience!

- Scheme Type: Powerboat
- Beginner/Intermediate: Beginner
- Afloat Experience: None. May be preceded by Level 1 Start Powerboating
- Minimum Duration: 2 days
- Minimum Age: 12 (candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate)
- Content: Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard
- Certificate Issuing Criteria: Self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of the craft
- Format: Predominantly practical but with some classroom elements
